TinShield HB

Column:Tin Protective Agent

Introduction

TinShield HB is a tin protective agent used in post-treatment to deposit a thin, transparent, and soft coating on the surface of tin. It can effectively prevent the tin surface from changing color.

Features and Advantages

● The TinShield HB protective film can be baked at 260℃ for 5 minutes without tin aggregation or discoloration.
● The TinShield HB protective film does not affect weldability or other coating properties.
● TinShield HB prevents tin from corroding in environments with high humidity and heat.
● TinShield HB is economical to operate.

Equipment

Aqueduct: Made of polypropylene, polyethylene, or PVC plastic
Heater: Teflon or quartz with automatic temperature control device
Filtration: 1 - 5 micron polypropylene filter cartridge; filter continuously 3 - 5 times per hour
Mixing: Oil-free air with mechanical exchange mixing
Hanger: Plastic

Equipment Preparation

Aqueduct: Before installing the duct, the hanging duct and its ancillary equipment must be thoroughly cleaned and filtered with sodium hydroxide solution. This step is very important for new devices or devices that have been used for other purposes.
Cleaning Solution: 100mL/L sulfuric acid
Filter Solution: Sodium hydroxide 22.5 - 45 g/L
Cleaning Program:
1. Thoroughly clean the aqueduct and its ancillary equipment with clean water. Remove all anodes and anode baskets from the aqueduct.
2. Clean the entire system with water circulation until all water-soluble substances are removed.
3. Discard any accessories that may have been contaminated by the previous electroplating solution, such as anode bags, filter cartridges, etc.
4. Discharge the water.
5. Add the cleaning solution into the aqueduct; heat it to 38 - 40℃ and circulate the cleaning solution to clean the entire system for 4 - 8 hours.
6. Drain the cleaning solution.
7. Clean the entire system by circulating clean water.
8. Discharge the water.
9. Add the filtered liquid into the aqueduct and circulate to clean the entire system; then let the filtered liquid soak the entire system for no less than 8 hours.
10. Clean the entire system by circulating the filtrate.
11. Discharge the filtered liquid.
12. Clean the entire system with pure water circulation.
13. Discharge the water.
Polypropylene Filter Cartridge:
1. Wash thoroughly with hot pure water at 60℃.
2. Filter with 10% V/V (100mL/L) sulfuric acid solution for 8 hours.
3. Thoroughly rinse with pure water.
