SterlingShield GH-005

Introduction

SterlingShield GH-005 is a silver protective agent specially designed for silver plated workpieces that are inconvenient to protect with water-based protective agents. It effectively increases protective performance, has lubricity, reduces the friction coefficient, is non irritating, and improves the corrosion resistance of non-ferrous metals. SterlingShield GH-005 is moisture-proof and salt spray resistant. It also prevents corrosion, mold, and atmospheric damage caused by marine climates on metals. SterlingShield GH-005 has no adverse effects on the conductivity and welding performance of the product.

Process Flow

1. Silver plating
2. Clean thoroughly (without corrosion, oil stains, or moisture)
3. Dip into protective agent (45 - 50℃ for 30 seconds; if there are many or large workpieces, preheat them to 45 - 50℃ before dipping)
4. Put the workpieces in an oven for drying
5. For workpieces that are inconvenient to dip, use a clean brush to brush apply the protective agent. Then dry the brushed workpieces with a hair dryer (hot air) for 3 to 5 minutes.

Precautions

1. Do not heat the solution with an open flame. A water bath must be used to prevent fire.
2. After using the solution, it should be promptly sealed and placed in a cool place to prevent solvent evaporation. During operation, do not mix water with the protective agent solution.
